SOMETHING BETTER THAN SOCCER???

germany06.jpgThis summer at the Soccer World Cup in Berlin Germany, many would believe there is nothing better than soccer.  CrossWay Baptist Church, an international church planted by E|BM missionaries, sees the World Cup as a wonderful opportunity to share SOMETHING Better than Soccer and that is SOMEONE. . . Jesus Christ!

soccoer.jpgEBM Team Berlin  missionaries Steve and Becky Dye, Fritz and Lynette Good, and Kristi Walker are helping to facilitate youth groups from the US.  They are partnering with Vision for Youth which has 120 people registered for this World Cup outreach June 30-July 9, 2006.  The trip, “New Hope for Berlin—2006” will provide students opportunities to experience German culture, participate in evangelism in various sites around Berlin to do street evangelism, do children’s ministry and a youth rally and be part of church services and fellowship with CrossWay Baptist and other churches.

crosswaychurch.jpgCrossWay Baptist Church started as an international English speaking ministry in Berlin by Steve and Becky Dye in 2001. Because Berlin is the center of much governmental and economic growth in Europe, CrossWay exists to gather people from various nations in worship of God, instruction from the Bible, and fellowship with one another in order to scatter in evangelism and training in Berlin and throughout the world. The Goods and Kristi Walker joined the Dyes in the work a year later.  Learn more about this ministry at www.crosswaychurch-berlin.org

Vision for Youth has several opportunities for youth to minister this summer.  They also have trips planned for Chicago and Philadelphia.  President, Mel Walker, reports that the Berlin outreach is full.  For more information, click on www.visionforyouth.com
