General Description
The Home Office of EBM is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, on the north side of Indianapolis. In order to maintain our spirit of family, the administration through the years has sought to recognize and identify the offices of the mission as the Home Office, rather than mission headquarters.
The offices are a place for missionaries and their constituency to find a warm and caring environment, vitally interested in them and their ministries. The Home Office is located at 3307 W. 96th St., Indianapolis IN 46268.
Services Provided by the Home Office
The home office provides a number of services for the missionary on his field of service as well as to the local churches which support the missionaries under Evangelical Baptist Missions auspices.
Here is just a brief list of some of the services performed:
- Processes donations and issues receipts in accordance with current IRS regulations
- Cares for on-going payments of insurance premiums, house payments, retirement contributions, etc. for missionaries
- Arranges for air travel to and from the field as requested from EBM personnel
- Keeps current on information for visa requirements for each country in which EBM works
- Processes necessary paperwork for visas for missionaries
- Maintains prayer letter service for EBM missionaries who request it
- Offers counsel to missionaries and/or churches at their request
- Processes applications and references for those seeking application to EBM
- Assists local churches in missions issues
- Provides resources for churches to use in promoting missions to their church family
- Focus Series
- Church Institute of World Missions provides seminar opportunities that help strengthen the church in doing a finer job of reaching the world for Christ
- Staff available for ministering in churches in services, seminars, for consultation, etc.
- Keeps constituency apprised of missions around the world through GLEANER and other literature
- Maintains a home base for churches and missionaries
- Informs supporters of special prayer requests and emergency needs of their missionaries
- Sets equitable support levels based on research from the fields
- Works in conjunction with sending churches in opening new fields of ministry
- Keeps abreast of political and economic changes in countries in which EBM works
- Provides a resource for missionaries to turn to in looking for information about any needs they may have.
- Stands ready to assist in anyway in anything that a missionary or church can think of in which they would like assistance
